Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process new title orders.
- Review purchase agreements and lender instructions.
- Order surveys, HOA documents, payoffs, and other required documents.
- Examine title commitments and identify title defects or requirements.
- Work with underwriters to resolve title issues and clear title objections.
- Cook closing schedules with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, and real estate agents.
- Communicate regularly with all parties regarding transaction status.
- Verify legal descriptions, ownership information, and vesting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, underwriter guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
- Obtain and review payoff statements and prepare disbursement information.
- Aid in helping the CAS Department and verifying wires when needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical transaction files.
- Assist the escrow officer or closer with pre-closing and post-closing tasks as needed.
- Meet established deadlines while managing multiple files simultaneously.
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the transaction.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous title, escrow, mortgage, or real estate experience preferred.
- Knowledge of title insurance practices and real estate closing procedures.
- Familiarity with title software (SoftPro, RamQuest, Qualia, ResWare, or similar) preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, TEAMS and Excel.
