Role: Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and perform preventive and emergency maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.Inspect and maintain fleet vehicles, loaders, rollers, pavers, trailers, and construction equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.Operate diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and maintain accurate work records and inventory.Support field operations via shop or service truck environments, ensuring equipment readiness.Assist with parts procurement and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.At least two years of experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fields.Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.Welding, fabrication skills, and tools necessary for repairs are advantageous.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety standards.
