Role Overview We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians to maintain, repair, and operate fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and emergency repairs on various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems. Mechanics may work in shop settings, on active job sites, or from service trucks supporting field operations. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled, preventative, and emergency repairs on fleet and construction equipmentDiagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systemsConduct inspections, maintain equipment readiness, and complete work ordersAssist with parts procurement, inventory management, and operate diagnostic and maintenance toolsEnsure safety and regulatory compliance through inspections and safe work practicesMaintain a clean and organized work environment and perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredAt least 2 years of experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fieldsStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across various systemsValid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferredWelding, fabrication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to provide necessary tools for repairs
