Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians

We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. Key responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various vehicles and equipment used in construction and pavement preservation. Mechanics may work in a shop, on active job sites, or from service trucks supporting field operations. Primary duties involve conducting scheduled and emergency repairs, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems, and maintaining safety and DOT inspections. They are responsible for reading manuals, preparing equipment for daily use, managing work records, assisting with parts procurement, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, a valid driver’s license, and tools for repairs. CDL-A, tanker endorsement, welding, and fabrication skills are a plus. Skills needed are independent work ability, multitasking, and safety consciousness.
