Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians

Role: Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. Tasks include repairing diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, HVAC systems, and mechanical components. Conduct safety and DOT inspections, maintain equipment readiness, manage work orders, and assist with parts inventory. Operate diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Support field operations either in a shop, on active job sites, or from service trucks. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferredMinimum of 2 years experience in diesel repair, equipment or fleet maintenance, or heavy machineryStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsValid driver’s license; CDL-A and tank endorsement preferredWelding and fabrication experience are a plusAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain tools Key Duties: Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks; read manuals and schematics; maintain accurate records; ensure equipment safety and operational readiness; operate maintenance tools and equipment effectively.
