Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians

About the role

Seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians to support maintenance, repair, and operation of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment used in construction and pavement preservation.
• Conduct safety and DOT inspections, read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Maintain and repair loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment.
• Operate diagnostic, welding, and maintenance tools safely.
• Assist with parts procurement, inventory management, and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Complete maintenance records and perform additional assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fields.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain necessary tools.
