Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians

About the role

We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians to support maintenance, repair, and operation of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various vehicles and equipment used in construction and pavement preservation.
• Perform scheduled, preventive, and emergency repairs on fleet vehicles, trailers, and machinery.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain records, complete work orders, and assist with parts procurement and inventory management.
• Operate diagnostic, welding, and maintenance tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Conduct safety and DOT inspections, adhering to regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fields.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.
• Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain necessary tools.
