About the role
We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting fleet vehicles, heavy machinery, and pavement preservation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and perform preventive maintenance on various mechanical systems, including diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and HVAC components.
- Conduct safety and DOT inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and repair construction equipment such as loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, and trailers.
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders; operate diagnostic, welding, and maintenance tools.
- Assist with parts procurement, inventory management, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Support field operations from shop environments, active job sites, or service trucks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of experience in diesel repair or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL-A and tanking endorsement preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
