Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery.
- Conduct scheduled, emergency repairs, and safety inspections on various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain and repair loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment.
- Read manuals, schematics, and work orders; prepare equipment for daily use and complete maintenance records.
- Assist with parts procurement, inventory management, and operate diagnostic, welding, and maintenance tools safely.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fields.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.
- Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain necessary tools.
