About the role
We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians to support maintenance, repair, and operation of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on various vehicles and equipment used in construction and pavement preservation.
- Conduct safety and DOT inspections, read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Maintain and repair loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, trailers, and other machinery.
- Operate diagnostic, welding, and maintenance tools safely; assist with parts procurement and inventory management.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment; complete maintenance records accurately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fields.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain necessary tools.
