Equipment Design Engineer - Robotics

About the role

The Electrical Design Robotics specialist ensures the delivery of high-quality robotic hardware, software, and safety designs to support new model introductions across manufacturing facilities.

Work conditions: primarily office-based with manufacturing floor support; support robot installation nationwide; physical troubleshooting and debugging; long hours, standing, and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Lead project scheduling, resource management, and design execution for medium to large projects
• Mentor and review associates’ work
• Implement robotic designs for new models
• Monitor project progress and address gaps
• Lead design reviews and influence process improvements
• Evaluate and validate robotic systems through testing and vendor audits
• Conduct simulation studies, robot configuration, and programming in both online and offline scenarios

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Robot CAD, and simulation tools
