Equipment Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified individual to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on introducing and implementing equipment for new model production. Using 3D CAD and simulation tools, you will identify design key points, develop specifications, and drive projects as a Project Leader, PIC, or Subject Matter Expert from inception to final handoff. Your role involves leading process improvements, supporting project leadership, and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to meet quality, cost, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Developing innovative machine concepts for process changes based on engineering principles
• Serving as SME for zone/process/projects, leading technical support and coordination with external suppliers
• Leading mid-to-large engineering projects, conducting process studies, and creating detailed specifications
• Driving group improvements, mentoring associates, and managing project schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in 3D CAD systems, automated equipment development, and technical communication

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with some manufacturing floor support and travel as needed.
