About the Role
This position leads complex system configuration, testing, validation, and ongoing support of applications, focusing on clinical or IT systems to ensure safe, high-quality care using electronic health records. It involves analyzing application capabilities, workflows, data collection, and reporting, as well as developing internal procedures related to Epic software. The role requires investigation of operational specifications and application functionality, prioritizing system changes, and serving as a liaison among end users, third parties, and implementation teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects, promote adherence to procedures, and coordinate resources.
- Solve complex problems related to system configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Document processes and support production environments.
- Lead hardware and software changes, perform impact analyses, and recommend performance optimizations.
- Collaborate with technical teams and communicate with users to drive continuous improvement and effective system management.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years’ experience with Epic or comparable health system software or scripting/programming.
- At least two years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (additional work experience may substitute for education).
- At least eight years of IT or operations experience.
