Epic Systems Analyst

University of Michigan Health – Sparrow is seeking an Epic Application Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team! In this role, you'll take ownership of application configurations, troubleshoot technical challenges, and partner with clinical and operational teams to improve workflows and system performance. You'll have the opportunity to expand your technical expertise while supporting the technology that helps our healthcare teams deliver exceptional patient care. What You'll DoManage and optimize applications: Configure, maintain, and enhance application systems to support operational efficiency.Solve complex problems: Independently troubleshoot application issues and provide solutions for end-users.Improve workflows: Partner with clinical and operational teams to identify opportunities for system improvements.Support system enhancements: Participate in application upgrades, testing, configurations, and ongoing optimization.Collaborate across teams: Work with IT professionals, end-users, and external vendors to resolve issues and improve functionality.Document improvements: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, workflows, and enhancements. We're looking for a resourceful, collaborative IT professional who can work independently, manage technical priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical teams. Required Qualifications:One of the following education and experience combinations:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus at least 1 year of application analysis experience.Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of application analysis experience.High school diploma/GED plus at least 5 years of application analysis experience. Candidates must have experience with application troubleshooting, configurations, and support. Additional experience in application support or IT analysis is preferred.
