Epic Credentialed Trainer, Hybrid, Full Time, Days
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering end-user training for all EMR (Epic) system applications, working closely with staff to develop competence in clinical and business information systems. Also responsible for creating and delivering training for corporate-wide system applications like Workday and Microsoft 365. Serves as the primary educator and post-support knowledge trainer for individuals, groups, and teams. Works closely with Epic Analysts to ensure curriculum is tested and updated timely and with high quality. Provides at-the-elbow (ATE) concierge service for physicians and other clinicians as needed.
Essential Functions
- Delivers end user training for all EMR system applications (New team members and implementations) and other organization-wide systems programs
- Audits and enhances EMR application curricula for new team member delivery
- Provides ATE training for providers and other appointed clinicians
- Collaborates with SMEs in their assigned applications to ensure updated content and enhance relationships
- Completes quarterly presentation audits of assigned applications with the team
- Develops and deploys virtual and eLearning tips on assigned applications
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or post-high school degree earned. Bachelor's Degree preferred in areas such as General Education, Information Sciences, Business Management, Training and Development, Clinical Informatics, Project Management, or related fields.
- Experience: Two (2) years as an Educator or Trainer in adult healthcare or general education/training experience. Two (2) years in a medical office or healthcare facility training setting preferred. One (1) year of training on EMR preferred.
- Certifications, Registrations, Licenses: Upon hire, educator must meet the recommended training requirements documented as Prisma Health and/or Epic’s best practice. Credentialing in assigned applications and other required administrative work and coursework must be obtained within eight weeks of assignment. Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
