About the Role
As an EPIC Application Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting Evara Health’s mission by serving as a key technology partner—supporting, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the EPIC electronic health record (EHR) and related applications.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and optimize assigned Epic applications and workflows while managing issues through timely resolution.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to identify workflow improvements, support upgrades and enhancements, and optimize Epic functionality.
- Assess business and clinical workflows and translate requirements into effective Epic solutions, supporting implementations, upgrades, testing, go-lives, and stabilization.
- Coordinate with clinical, operational, IT, and vendor teams while developing requirements, test plans, workflow documentation, and project materials.
- Develop and deliver Epic training for clinical, operational, and administrative users, including onboarding and application readiness support.
- Create training materials, job aids, workflow guides, and other resources that promote effective adoption of Epic functionality.
- Maintain accurate application, workflow, configuration, testing, and training documentation while supporting data validation and quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Evara Health policies and HIPAA, State, Federal, and accreditation requirements while promoting patient safety, data integrity, and confidentiality.
- Build strong relationships with providers, staff, leaders, IT teams, and vendors while communicating technical information clearly across audiences.
- Manage multiple priorities and identify technology improvements that enhance patient access, care coordination, staff experience, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience directly related to Epic applications and workflow support
- Epic certification in various application modules preferred
- High level of computer proficiency and database management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and instructional skills
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
