EP Lab Tech - CVT
About the role
Transform healthcare in the Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab) within the Level 1 Trauma Center at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. This CVT opportunity offers specialized training and support for obtaining the RCES Certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and advanced equipment for invasive procedures.
- Scrubs and assists physicians during procedures.
- Advises and plans with physicians on procedural strategies and supplies.
- Aids in emergent conditions and ensures patient, physician, and team needs are met.
- Serves as a patient advocate, advising on medication needs.
- Operates x-ray equipment and administers medication under supervision.
- Maintains advanced critical thinking skills to manage emergency situations.
- Marks and interprets EKG and hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Inputs data from patient history, labs, and case proceedings into various databases.
- Performs advanced data manipulation for value areas, shunt calculations, and cardiac outputs.
- Assists with electrophysiology studies and ablations.
- Participates in providing and ensuring informed consent and patient education.
- Contributes to Carilion Clinic's performance improvement activities and mission.
- Participates in obtaining desired service line outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of Allied Health Profession School (RTR, RT).
- Experience: Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current RCIS or RCES or RT(R) or CRT.
- Lifesupport: AHS BLS-HCP required.
- Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.

Pay
Compensation range: $30.47 - $45.71 per hour. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
Schedule
No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.
