EP Lab Tech

About the Role

This is a full-time day shift position, Monday through Friday, with 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No call is required for this position.

As an Electrophysiology/EP Lab Tech, you will provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures, including supply management, equipment operation, monitoring, imaging, and use of medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.
• Scrub assist for all diagnostic and electrophysiology procedures, including preparation of supplies and instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires, and devices.
• Inject contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician.
• Document procedures and patient information according to hospital policy.
• Assist in coordinating the procedure schedule as assigned.
• Support inventory control as directed by the supervisor/manager.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or 3 years of Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Allied Health Degree (CVT Tech).
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the position.
