Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures.
• Maintain basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and its maintenance while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
• Provide direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing or graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or RCIS/EP program graduate.

Work Experience

• No experience required if graduate of RCIS or EP program.
• 1 year of EP, Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience if not a graduate of RCIS or EP program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Applicable license based on healthcare experience.
• BCLS – Basic Life Support upon hire.
• ACLS upon hire.
• If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, must obtain RCIS/RCES within 2 years.
