Responsibilities
- Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures.
- Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
- Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist Required
- Work Experience: No experience required
- If graduate of RCIS or EP program Required or 1 year EP, Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN if not a graduate of RCIS or EP program. Required
- Licenses and Certifications: Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license Upon Hire Required or If a graduate of RCIS or EP program, Must obtain RCIS/RCES within 2 Years Required and BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and ACLS Upon Hire Required
