TECHNICIAN

About the role

A General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair and preventative maintenance tasks in multiple trade areas including plumbing, basic electricity, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and basic mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Customer service, breakdown, and setup of facility meeting rooms
• Grounds repair and upkeep

Requirements

• Education: High School completion / GED
• Experience: 5 - 7 years of job‑related experience
• Prior job title/occupational experience: Building Maintenance
• Other experience: general mechanic or general building repair

Skills

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other specialized instruments
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, plans, directions, drawings, basic line drawings, simple schematics, work orders, purchase requisitions, and MSDSs
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Friendly and courteous to patients, visitors, and staff
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene
• Good organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks
