About the role
Industry: Manufacturing. Location: Fort Worth, TX 76244.
Responsibilities
- Help set up and verify performance of fiber optic test systems
- Prepare product samples for environmental and mechanical testing
- Take optical measurements using manual and automated test systems
- Program and run environmental chambers and other test equipment
- Set up tests, track progress, and report status as directed
- Record test results for optical fiber components following written procedures
- Run basic data analysis and draft test reports in the required format
- Assist with failure mode analysis and basic troubleshooting
- Keep a safe, clean, and organized lab work area
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on experience using test or measuring equipment
- Good eyesight and steady hands for working with very small, delicate parts
- Basic computer skills for entering data and writing short reports
- Ability to work on-site, Monday through Friday, day shift
Skills
- Hands-on operation of test and measurement equipment
- Running tests and recording results by following documented procedures
- Precision handling of very small, delicate components
- Preferred/bonus: Exposure to fiber optics, optical components, or optical measurement
- Preferred/bonus: Experience programming or running environmental test chambers
- Preferred/bonus: Experience supporting failure analysis or troubleshooting in a lab
Schedule
Day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 100% on-site.
