About the role

The GRSM San Diego, Carlsbad & Inland Empire offices have immediate openings for Environmental/Toxic Tort attorneys, practicing within the state of California. We welcome all experience levels to apply!

Responsibilities

• Practice within the Environmental/Toxic Tort department and other general liability work.
• Work with top practitioners in areas such as benzene, PFAS, heavy metals, silica, solvents, mold, asbestos, Prop 65, and class action matters.
• Handle assignments with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills.
• Collaborate in a supportive and collegial environment, with opportunities for client interactions and appearances at hearings, depositions, and trials.

Requirements

• Must be licensed and admitted to practice in the state of California.
• Driven team player with excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills.
• Strong academic background and proven skills in research.
• Self-starter capable of handling assignments independently.

Qualifications

• Experience in Toxic Tort actions, including benzene, PFAS, heavy metals, silica, solvents, mold, and asbestos.
• Experience with Prop 65 and class action matters.

Skills

• Excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills.
• Strong academic background and proven research skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle assignments with minimal supervision.

Pay

Current national base salary ranges are: Associates (approximately 1-6+ years): $100,000–$165,000; Senior Counsel/Of Counsel (approximately 5 years or more): $140,000–$215,000; Partners (approximately 7 years or more): $190,000–$275,000+. Actual compensation is tailored to each individual and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and geographic market.
