Environmental Project Manager
About the role
We are partnering with a growing environmental consulting firm with a strong backlog of work across NYC. They are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead high-profile investigation and remediation efforts while building strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects from start to finish, including Phase I/II ESAs and remedial design/implementation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owning communication, timelines, and deliverables
- Prepare and review key regulatory submittals (RAWP, SMP, work plans, closure reports)
- Oversee field activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations, as well as construction/remediation oversight
- Manage project financials (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing) to keep work on track and profitable
- Coverage of project management, coordination with subcontractors, field teams, and internal staff across multiple concurrent projects
- Support proposals and help drive continued growth of the practice
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on remediation and site investigation
- Strong understanding of NYSDEC and NYC OER programs and regulatory processes
- Proven experience managing projects, clients, and budgets
- Hands-on technical experience (sampling, CAMP, construction oversight)
- Strong report writing skills across Phase I/II ESAs and remedial documents
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER; SST preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
