This role is designed for a lawyer with strong deal experience who is looking to step into a platform offering meaningful responsibility, high-quality work, and direct client exposure across sophisticated renewable energy and infrastructure transactions.

This full-service U.S. law firm has a well-established energy and infrastructure practice operating across multiple key markets, including New York, Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. The team advises developers, sponsors, lenders, and investors on complex domestic energy transactions, with a particular focus on renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

The practice is known for its collaborative culture and integrated deal teams, which allow associates to take on meaningful responsibility while benefiting from close partner mentorship and strong client interaction. The group values teamwork, flexibility, and long-term professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients across the lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects, including:
    • Project development, structuring, and financing
    • Renewable energy transactions, including wind, solar, and other infrastructure assets
    • Tax equity financings and debt financing arrangements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate key transaction documents, including:
    • Financing agreements and credit documentation
    • Project development and acquisition documentation
    • Transaction agreements across multi-party deals
  • Manage deal components independently, including:
    • Running discrete workstreams with minimal supervision
    • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
    • Supporting client relationships through direct interaction

Requirements

  • 4-7 years' experience in project finance and/or project development from a reputable law firm
  • Experience with tax equity and/or debt financing structures
  • Exposure to renewable energy and/or infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage aspects of transactions independently
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
