EMT, Paramedic, or LPN (PRN)

Medcor is hiring an Onsite Health Technician (EMT, Paramedic, or LPN) on a PRN (as-needed) basis for an employer-based, occupational health clinic in Woodbridge, NJ. The clinic operates 24/7, with no guaranteed hours.

About the role

The Onsite Health Technician will collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key corporate contacts. The role involves patient care, workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring in coordination with outside medical providers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
• Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Manage case documentation, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping

Requirements

• Valid licensure for the position (EMT, Paramedic, or LPN)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong computer and technology skills (e.g., cell phones, texting, fax machines, EMR software)
• Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for patient care
• Willingness to go above and beyond in your role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a worksite clinic environment
• Relevant occupational health experience
• Experience in emergency medicine or critical care

Pay

$28.00–$33.00 per hour.
