EMT, Paramedic, or LPN (PRN)
Medcor is looking to hire an EMT, Paramedic, or LPN on a PRN (as-needed) basis to be our Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Alma, KS. The clinic operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.
About the role
This is a PRN/coverage position with no guaranteed hours. If you have the availability to pick up an occasional shift, we invite you to apply. This role offers the opportunity to use your skills outside EMS or pick up extra shifts in a clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure
- Patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring
- Work closely with outside medical providers
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
- Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
- Build and maintain internal team relationships
- Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
- Pre-employment and post-offer screenings
- Documentation of care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
- Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
- Case management
- Medical charting
- OSHA record-keeping
Requirements
- Valid licensure for the position (EMT, Paramedic, or LPN)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong computer and technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.), as well as familiarity with EMR software
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
- Relevant occupational health experience
- Experience in emergency medicine or critical care
