About the role
The EMT dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring prompt and efficient service delivery within an outpatient setting. They are responsible for performing essential general patient care, meticulously following established clinic workflows.Responsibilities
- Completes comprehensive patient intake duties, including obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and medications, and documenting reasons for visits.
- Collects and prepares specimens, administers ordered medications and vaccines, cleans and sterilizes instruments, ensures exam room readiness, and completes safety checklists.
- Affordably manages all intake processes and supports clinical operations by demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety.
- Maintains proficiency in Communications computer software required for daily operations.
- Consults with the Billing Coordinator regarding necessary pre-transport screening patient information, Medicare and Medicaid Laws/Guidelines updates, and other contractual obligations for services.
- Affordably addresses concerns proactively to ensure exceptional patient experiences.
- Affordably assures proper utilization of vehicular resources to ensure prompt completion of requests for services.
- Inspects communication equipment for operational requirements, repairs equipment within scope of abilities, reports needed maintenance and/or deficiencies to relief and supervisor.
- Receives and enters call/patient information into computerized dispatch system.
- Provides dispatch accountability for all services (Ambulance, Wheelchair Van & Support Vehicle) during assigned shift, auditing daily CAD log to reflect ePRC to assure completion of data.
- Maintains proficiency in Communications computer software required for daily operations.

Requirements
- High School GED or High School Graduate
- Emergency Medical Dispatchers, within 6 - months
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
