About the role
ATCS is growing and seeks an Emergency Management Services Specialist to support FEMA’s Regional Business, Industry, and Infrastructure Integration (B3I) efforts in Region 8 (Denver, CO area).
Responsibilities
- Assessing long-term vulnerabilities with SLTT government and private sector partners
- Engaging SLTT government jurisdictions and providing them with updated guidance, operational impacts, and solution development to achieve planning objectives
- Cooking Sector Risk Management Agency (SRMA) incident response operations with regional Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) and relevant public sector coordinating entities associated with the incident
- Scheduling and conducting initial information teleconferences with cross-sector business and infrastructure partners affected by the incident
- Serving as a strategic B3I partner through in-person and virtual meetings, cross-agency agreements, public-private business and industry agreements, and conferences
- Coordinating with existing ESFs and CISA PSAs to support regional business and industry needs and requirements during a disaster
- Identifying regional business and industry partner needs and how FEMA can assist in managing these needs
- Engaging the local private sector in FEMA regional planning, training, and exercise activities
- Developing integrated and visualized data using mapping tools to support situational awareness and decision-making
- Working in spatial data management tools and map production to support regional situational awareness efforts
- Gathering situational awareness from local and regional business and industry partners to support regional and FEMA HQ planning products and decision-making
- Providing regional reports and inputs regarding SLTT government economic impacts post-incident
- Conducting planning, training, and exercises with RRCC, states, and regions to support SLTT government engagement with business and industry
- Supporting and assisting the capability development of state business emergency operations centers (BEOC) during readiness, disaster operations, and sustainment
- Conducting field reporting and contributing towards the inclusion of business and industry integration inputs into planning products, business/industry continuity requirements, and challenges during disaster operations
- Affirming state and local post-incident economic impacts to business and industry
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in emergency management or external/public affairs preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with GIS software to create and manage geospatial outputs
- Direct hands-on experience with GIS software in an emergency management or planning environment
- Experience conducting spatial analysis and developing geospatial products to support emergency planning, response, or recovery operations, or direct hands-on experience using GIS platforms to produce operational mapping products
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
- Must reside locally or be able to commute to Denver, CO for in-office work 4-5 days/week

Pay
$65,000 to $79,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, in-office work 4-5 days/week in Denver, CO.
