About the role
This position provides comprehensive administrative support for an EMS division, handling complex and confidential duties that require discretion, independent judgment, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain databases, process certifications and permissions
- Manage HIPAA-sensitive reports and coordinate applications
- Oversee credential tracking and facilitate paramedic development programs
- Liaise with educational institutions and manage billing and equipment procurement
- Support community events and coordinate training sessions
- Update learning management systems and manage internship calendars
- Ensure smooth communication with external agencies
- Transcribe and prepare administrative documents
- Handle customer service and support billing operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s degree or higher with relevant certifications for mastery level)
- Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (within 6 months) for entry level
- Minimum 2 years’ (entry) or 7 years’ (mastery) relevant experience
- Certifications in EMS, CPR, and First Aid
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and EMS-related software
- Strong communication, customer service, and medical billing experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing, and related policies
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and judgment skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information professionally
- Strong technical aptitude for learning district-specific software
- Effective communicator capable of working with diverse stakeholders
