What You'll Do
- Assists newly arrived refugees and other qualified immigrants to attain self-sufficiency through employment
- Guides clients through employment preparation
- Coordinates job placements
- Provides job readiness and job search coaching
- Connects clients with job opportunities
- Develops plans to overcome barriers to obtaining and maintaining employment
- Maintains written documentation of services
- Ensures employment services are delivered within the required timeframes and in accordance with organizational and contractual policies
- Maintains refugee information systems
- Tracks assessments and progress
- Facilitates workshops and work readiness courses
- Schedules workshops and tracks attendance
- Maintains and builds relationships with community partners, educational organizations, and employers
What You'll Need
- A Bachelor's degree in health or human service related field or one to two years relevant professional experience in workforce development/employment services field
- Linguistic appropriate skills to meet the needs of the clients are desired but not required
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check
