About the role
Cooley LLP seeks an Employment & Labor Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their fast-paced practice group in Reston, VA or Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Engage in comprehensive employment counseling focusing on statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review executive employment and separation agreements.
- Assist with employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Litigation experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Broad experience in employment law.
- Strong academic background.
- Effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- One to three years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience with employment counseling and statutory/regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of executive employment and separation agreements.
- Understanding of employment dimensions in M&A transactions.

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $225,000 - $260,000. Final offer amount will be determined based on geographic location, experience, and skillset of the candidate.
