About the role

As an Employment Specialist/Case Manager, you will work with Medicaid clients aged 16 and older who experience substance use disorders, or behavioral/mental health diagnoses, that hinder their ability to find employment. Your role includes assessing clients' strengths and interests to help them achieve employment goals, assisting with resume building, interview skills, and employment-related skills like managing anxiety, depression, anger, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' strengths and interests to aid in employment goals
  • Work with clients on resume building, interview skills, and employment skills
  • Act as an advocate, case manager, and skills coach
  • Maintain clients' positions successfully by addressing mental and emotional challenges

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Social Services or related field
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification issued by the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification issued by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Council (CRCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience
  • Pass fingerprinting and background checks
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Social Services or related field
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification issued by the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC)
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification issued by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Council (CRCC)

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage anxiety, depression, anger, etc.
  • Knowledge of employment support and rehabilitation counseling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
