About the role

As an Employment Specialist/Case Manager, you will work with Medicaid clients aged 16 and older who experience substance use disorders, or behavioral/mental health diagnoses, that hinder their ability to find employment. Your responsibilities include assessing clients' strengths and interests to help them achieve employment goals, assisting with resume building, interview skills, and employment-related skills like managing anxiety, depression, anger, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' strengths and interests to aid in employment goals
  • Work with clients to build resumes and improve interview skills
  • Coach clients on employment-related skills such as relationship development and managing mental health issues
  • Act as an advocate and case manager to support clients in maintaining employment

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Social Services or related field
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification issued by the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification issued by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Council (CRCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience
  • Pass fingerprinting and background checks
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Social Services or related field
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of employment services and resources
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or behavioral/mental health diagnoses

Pay

$24-$29/hour

Schedule

Daytime/evening flexible full time schedule

Additional Information

Opportunity for additional incentive-based pay- up to 10% biweekly

Hybrid work setting- travel to clients through the community
