About the role

As an Employment Specialist/Case Manager, you will work with Medicaid clients aged 16 and older who experience substance use disorders, or behavioral/mental health diagnoses, that hinder their ability to find employment. You will assess their strengths and interests to aid in the goal of finding employment, working together on resume building, interview skills, and employment skills such as relationship development and managing anxiety, depression, anger, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the assessment and planning of employment goals for clients
  • Work with clients to build resumes and develop interview skills
  • Provide coaching and support to help clients maintain employment
  • Act as an advocate and case manager for clients

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Social Services or related field; OR
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification issued by the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience; OR
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification issued by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Council (CRCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance
