Employee Development & Trainer
About the role
The Employee Development & Trainer plays a crucial role in enhancing employee performance, engagement, and retention through strategic learning and development initiatives. This position partners with various departments to tailor training programs and supports organizational change.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements training programs aligned with the bank's strategic plan and business goals.
- Supports employee growth, performance improvement, and career development through training programs and resources.
- Coordinates new hire orientation and onboarding processes to foster a positive employee experience.
- Designs and delivers training programs on the bank's core processing system, ensuring employees understand system functionality and best practices.
- Maintains and updates training materials and resources, including user guides, job aids, videos, and e-learning content.
- Evaluates trainee competency through assessments, observations, and practical exercises, offering coaching and additional instruction as needed.
- Administers compliance and role-based training programs, maintains learning systems, and ensures accurate documentation and completion tracking.
- Manages relationships with training vendors, administers workforce development grants, and maintains required documentation and records related to grants and vendor management activities.
- Develops and delivers financial literacy programs and educational presentations for employees, schools, and community organizations.
- Supports the Bank's community outreach efforts through financial wellness and education programs.
- Assists in organizational change management by providing training, communication, and support to managers and employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, education, HR, or Organizational Development preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a banking environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of training and development experience.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Bank regulations, policies, procedures, and systems.
- Knowledge of training principles, practices, methods, and programs.
- Experience in the design and implementation of employee training.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and innovative individual with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information and deal with sensitive issues in a discrete and ethical manner.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organization, analytical, planning, strategic thinking, independent decision-making, and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and flexible.
- Exceptional follow-up and follow-through supported through time-management, organization, and attention to detail in all tasks.
Physical Demands
- Frequently moves within the branch to perform duties and assist clients.
- May stand for extended periods while handling cash and banking documents.
- Sustained visual focus while reviewing documents and computer screens.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items under 20 lbs., such as supplies or files.
- May assemble and transport promotional displays for events.
- Infrequently stoops, kneels, or reaches to access lower storage or file drawers.
- May travel between branches, regional offices, or external events as needed.

Pay
$76,000 - $96,000 Annually
