Employee Development and Training: Human Resources Developer
About the role
The Employee Development & Training Unit (EDTU) leads the professional development and training efforts for MCSC employees. EDTU oversees the HR Academy, reflecting the Michigan Civil Service Commission's (MCSC) commitment to continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence by developing HR talent at every stage of their career.
As a trainer, you will design and deliver comprehensive training and development programs that strengthen the skills and knowledge of MCSC staff. You’ll play a key role in preparing employees to confidently balance their regulatory responsibilities with the strategic support our customers depend on. This role offers an opportunity to shape how MCSC develops its employees and prepares the next generation of HR professionals for success.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs for various HR disciplines, including:
- Entry Level Human Resources Developer
- Advanced Level Human Resources Developer
- Classification and Selection
- Labor Relations
- Payroll and Transactions (Specialist and general levels)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any major.
