Emergency Medical Technician/Medical Assistant - Day/Night shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds
• Provide life support care, such as CPR when needed
• Assess team member conditions and provide initial treatment
• Determine the level of care a team member needs
• Communicate with all levels of management if accommodations have to be made for team members
• Travel to and from Urgent Care, Physical Therapy, Family Doctor to transport team members

Qualifications

• Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
• DEEMT Certification (current)
• 3 or more years in field, industrial experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have the ability to work under stress and high-level emergencies
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Exceptional organizational, record keeping, and follow-up skills
• Good telephone communication skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of computer applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Must be able to work with standard office equipment
• Have good hearing to be able to communicate in noisy settings
• Could be sitting for long periods at a time
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more
• Work in dusty, wet, cold, and hot environments in case of any emergency
