Electrical Engineer III (Electrical Systems)

About the role

The Engineer III, Electrical – Hybrid position is available in Towson, MD. This role is part of the Tools & Outdoors Product Execution team and is a hybrid position, requiring 4 days of onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electronic designs utilizing lithium batteries in products
• Conduct design reviews on technical documentation and electrical designs focusing on system & product safety, quality, and best practices
• Participate in safety reviews, pull system level safety concerns into module level assessments, and conduct system Fault Hazard Analysis
• Evaluate integration of platformed components (assemblies) to ensure compatibility, functionality, and best practices
• Confirm critical test documentation and supplemental value add requirements
• Create or maintain electrical systems engineering specifications and design guides
• Cultivate and promote a common culture of concepts, terminology, and best practices throughout the wider organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or System Engineering
• 3+ years experience in Electronics Engineering or related positions required
• Demonstrated knowledge of battery and charger technology and their interaction
• Highly motivated, self-starter with innovation and attention to detail for safety
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
