Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of design engineering responsibilities in support of facility design, operation, and maintenance activities.
- Apply broad and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and DOE-complex requirements.
- Perform conventional engineering design, analysis, and calculations.
- Develop, review, and support engineering design packages.
- Provide construction, field, and project engineering support.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Apply engineering technology and tools to deliver high-quality work.
- Interface with stakeholders across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- At least 6 Years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA codes, standards, and criteria relevant to electrical engineering.
- Prior experience facilitating and developing engineering design packages.
- Familiarity with typical engineering deliverables (e.g., construction documents).
- Experience with computer aided design/drafting software or markup tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS
- This role may require a weekend shift schedule: After completion of a training period, employees may work Friday–Monday, 10-hour shifts.
- The training period will follow a Tuesday–Friday, 10-hour shift schedule.
- Shift/weekend assignments are determined by management based on operational needs.
