Electrical Engineer III

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of design engineering responsibilities in support of facility design, operation, and maintenance activities.
• Apply broad and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and DOE-complex requirements.
• Perform conventional engineering design, analysis, and calculations.
• Develop, review, and support engineering design packages.
• Provide construction, field, and project engineering support.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline team.
• Apply engineering technology and tools to deliver high-quality work.
• Interface with stakeholders across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Licensure

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

• At least 6 Years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA codes, standards, and criteria relevant to electrical engineering.
• Prior experience facilitating and developing engineering design packages.
• Familiarity with typical engineering deliverables (e.g., construction documents).
• Experience with computer aided design/drafting software or markup tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & LOCATION DETAILS

• This role may require a weekend shift schedule: After completion of a training period, employees may work Friday–Monday, 10-hour shifts.
• The training period will follow a Tuesday–Friday, 10-hour shift schedule.
• Shift/weekend assignments are determined by management based on operational needs.
