Electrical Controls Material Coordinator

About the role

This position collaborates with multiple departments and project teams to provide materials to Electrical Field Installation crews. The candidate must be self-directed, highly motivated, and capable of multitasking within an ever-changing project schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate must be familiar with electrical nomenclature and concepts.
  • Must have excellent communication skills for project execution and troubleshooting issues.
  • Oversee all electrical/controls materials at the warehouse.
  • Tasks include receiving shipments from vendors, inspecting and verifying counts, consolidating by project and kit number, receiving shipments of returned goods, and shipping electrical materials to project sites.
  • Manage a small crew (1-2 people), enforce, create, and/or revise work processes, lead by example to meet or exceed safety protocols, and direct the crew's workload to focus on project deliverables and due on-site dates.
  • Prepare and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance and possess proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software, with special emphasis on Excel.
  • Have familiarity with ERP and/or WMS environments and ability to operate a 6000lb forklift and achieve company issued operators license.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience with material management (electrical is a plus).
  • Bilingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and communicate with Spanish speakers.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software, with special emphasis on Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP and/or WMS environments.
  • Familiarity with Sharepoint or similar software.
  • Ability to operate a 6000lb forklift and achieve company issued operators license.

  • Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
