Job Description

THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON.

  • Receives, identifies, stores and delivers a wide variety of raw material and manufactured/purchased parts for additional processing, assembly, machining, or direct shipment.
  • Labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
  • Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to office records, or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count.
  • Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
  • Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods.
  • Restocks items as necessary.
  • Lables shelves.
  • Liaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries.
  • May perform other routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
  • Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials.
  • Receives, identifies, issues and stores material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method.
  • Fills and distributes basic material and repair orders.
  • Labels, packs and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
  • Unloads incoming trucks as directed; inspects for damage; compares items and quantities received against freight bills.
  • Maintains records of all items received and shipped.
  • Performs cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy; reconciles variances.
  • Detects defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties; provides necessary documentation to drive corrective actions.
  • Operates materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage.
  • Maintains equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • General computer experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to present written information in a clear and legible fashion.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
  • Ability to research and present recommendations to improvements and controls.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints (situational).
  • Ability to operate hand/fork trucks.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Move about the office and factory with lifting, bending and reaching, roughly 50-80% of the time.
  • Dial, hear and respond to telephone calls and inquiries.
  • Lift up to 50lbs repeatedly as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively (visually and verbally) with internal and external contacts.

Compensation

$19-23 hourly (DOE)
