Job Summary

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking an Educational Program Coordinator to join our team of professionals.

Duties

  • Manages the onboarding, assignment, and training of all undergraduate and graduate level learners to the Neighborhood Help (NHELP) program including but not limited to medical, nursing, social work, Physician Assistant (PA), Graduate Medical Education (GME), and other student learners. Responsible for collecting and distributing required administrative documentation associated with educational placements.
  • Supports a team-based household model integrating multiple disciplines and working with academic faculty to Ensure alignment between student learning objectives and household needs. Continuously assesses and refines the model based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Identifies opportunities to expand interdisciplinary participation and manages partnerships with FIU colleges and academic programs. Additionally, manages the quarterly interprofessional education faculty team meetings.
  • Maintains relationships with the NeighborhoodHELP evaluator, Office of Medical Education, Academic Faculty to monitor and report on key performance indicators and student learning outcomes. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of student involvement.
  • Collaborates with program leadership to align student activities with service delivery, including integration of students into mobile units, home visits, and brick-and-mortar services.
  • Orders, prepares, and distributes medical supply bags for residents and provides other medical supplies, as needed, to learners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.
