About the role
The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is a three-year entry-level program designed to provide at least three technical rotational assignments. These assignments are engineering positions in various Technology roles within GE Appliances, a Haier company. The program aims to develop and improve exciting new products in areas such as Refrigeration, Cooking, Dishwashers, Air Conditioners, and Washers & Dryers. Participants work closely with manufacturing and product management teams to integrate product designs that meet customer needs. The core engineering skills gained in these assignments are enhanced through advanced courses in engineering and mentorship from assignment leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical problem-solving skills through advanced engineering coursework and presentations to senior leadership.
- Obtain a Master’s Degree in Engineering, which is paid for by the company.
- Participate in diverse experiences including design engineering, overall systems management, finite element analysis, quality improvement, cost reduction, product reliability, and component & product testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or better in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Cumulative GPA >= 3.0 (out of 4.0).
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Positions located in Louisville, KY.
