ED Tech - Full Time - Day Shift

About the Role

Multi-skilled caregiver supporting patient care in the Emergency Department under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate care including vital signs, 12-lead EKG, bedside blood sugar testing, wound care, oral suctioning, splinting, and patient instruction.
• Perform aseptic procedures such as catheterization, sterile tray preparation, dressing changes, and phlebotomy.
• Operate cardiac monitors, pulse oximetry, and trauma resuscitation equipment.
• Transport patients, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Monitor and document patient restraint/seclusion status.
• Support telesitter functions, troubleshoot connectivity, and respond to escalations.
• Ensure patient care areas are stocked and maintained.
• Recognize and report arrhythmias and abnormal vital signs.
• Maintain cleanliness of monitors and equipment.
• Perform environmental safety rounds and assist with patient safety protocols.
• Comply with organizational policies and standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certifications in BLS or ARC-BLS required at hire.
• Effective communication, computer proficiency, teamwork, self-motivation, and vital sign skills.
