ECT Program Manager (RN)

Responsibilities

• Ensures coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy, goals, and objectives.
• Aids in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational, and performance improvement efforts.
• Supervises ECT program staff.
• Maintains staffing needs on assigned shifts.
• Assists the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events for all ECT Program staff required training.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• One to three years of ECT experience is required; three to ten years is preferred.
• A working knowledge of ECT practices and clinical operations.
• Leadership experience.
• Ability to function as the ECT RN when not present.
• Coordinates schedule for anesthesiology coverage for all scheduled treatment days.
• Trades and coordinates ECT referrals, admissions, and discharges, collaborating with inpatient units, providers, and Intake Department.
• Coordinates outpatient ECT medical clearance with primary care providers.
