Economic Support Specialist

Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Economic Support Specialist position within the Department of Human Services Economic Support Division. This is a remote position that requires in-person meetings located at the Chippewa County Courthouse on occasion. Must reside in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility and provide ongoing case management for Chippewa County/Great Rivers Income Maintenance Consortium in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage cases for public assistance programs including Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Food Share/SNAP, Caretaker Supplement (CTS), and Wisconsin Shares Child Care subsidies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with one (1) year or more experience as an Income Maintenance/Economic Support Specialist in the state of Wisconsin required, -OR- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a financial-related program required with one (1) year of recent Human Services or Financial work experience
• Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous direct customer service work experience with benefit programs and determining benefit eligibility

• Must have knowledge of and experience with computers
