East Region- Business Performance Improvement - Supply Chain and Operations - Strategic Sourcing Associate Director
Location: Philadelphia, PA (additional locations: Atlanta – Peachtree Rd, Charlotte)
About the role
Protiviti is looking for a Supply Chain & Operations Associate Director to join our growing Supply Chain & Operations Innovation team. As an Associate Director, you’ll partner with clients to identify and manage finance transformation opportunities, develop strategies to solve complex business problems, and devise solutions using the latest tools and methods. You’ll build lasting relationships with client personnel, foster a professional network, and serve as a mentor to teams while overseeing project work plans.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital supply chain solutions and apply emerging technologies.
- Lead core supply chain processes such as Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Accounts Payable, and Demand Planning.
- Apply process improvement, business transformation, and project management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile, Change Management).
- Develop financial models and business cases.
- Evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
- Establish and cultivate business relationships with senior executives on a global scale.
- Pursue business development opportunities and implement strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
- Translate and communicate issues, risks, or challenges to client personnel, including executives.
- Provide leadership and direct supervision of teams, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, and oversight.
- Contribute to client proposals and strategies to win new business.
- Identify opportunities to integrate product solutions and resources to improve client service capabilities.
- Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with core supply chain processes (Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Accounts Payable, Demand Planning).
- Experience designing and implementing digital supply chain solutions and applying technologies.
- Familiarity with traditional technologies supporting key supply chain functions (e.g., Contract Lifecycle Management, Source-to-Pay, Third Party Risk Management/Monitoring, Procurement orchestration).
- Proficiency in process improvement, business transformation, and project management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile, Change Management).
- Experience with financial modeling and business case management.
- Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
- Experience establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives globally.
- Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, and team coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, or Business-related field).
- 9+ years of experience in Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, either in professional services or industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with secondary emphasis on Visio, Access, and Tableau/Power BI.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Professional) strongly preferred.
Work Arrangement
Protiviti practices a hybrid model combining in-person and remote work. The ratio varies by client, project, and team needs. In-person work may include local Protiviti offices or client sites, with potential for local or out-of-state travel based on project requirements.
Pay
Starting salary range: $153,000 – $260,000 (placement dependent on experience, skills, and geographic work location).
Annual bonus target opportunity: 16% of base salary.
Estimated total cash range (base salary + bonus): $177,480 – $301,600.
