Protiviti’s Business Performance Improvement team is seeking a Change Management Associate Director to lead people-focused transformation solutions, particularly for large-scale ERP platform implementations (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP S/4HANA). This role is based in the East Region with primary locations in New York City, Boston, or Washington DC.

About the role

As a Manager in our People & Change practice, you will deliver change management for ERP transformation programs, specializing in two or more of these functions:

  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Record to Report (RTR)
  • Procure to Pay (PTP)
  • Lean Warehouse Management (LWM)
  • Plan to Make (PTM)

You will integrate with ERP System Integrators or Business Integrators as the Change Management Office/PMO leader, shaping the employee change experience through stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and role-based training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day change management delivery on ERP transformation programs.
  • Design and implement stakeholder engagement strategies, communication plans, and role-based training programs for ERP end users, including training development.
  • Conduct ERP-specific change impact inventory collection, persona/function-based impact assessments, change readiness surveys, and adoption analytics.
  • Facilitate design-thinking workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to drive alignment, problem-solving, and solution co-creation.
  • Engage and drive change activity with large ERP teams of 100+ project members using superior written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to promote a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation, solution design, and client presentations.
  • Integrate AI tools to accelerate change management communication and training delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading change management on ERP implementations, with expertise in at least two of the following modules: HCM, RTR, PTP, LWM, or PTM.
  • Experience developing and executing change management deliverables such as impact assessments, stakeholder maps, communication plans, training needs analyses, and resistance management plans.
  • Conducting organizational readiness assessments and post-go-live adoption tracking for ERP programs.
  • Facilitating design thinking workshops and user acceptance testing (UAT) readiness sessions with business stakeholders.
  • Analyzing HR or operational processes to identify gaps, compliance requirements, and improvement opportunities in the context of SAP-driven change.
  • Utilizing AI tools and digital accelerators to improve workflow efficiency, enhance stakeholder communication, or optimize change analytics.
  • Evaluating, synthesizing, and interpreting data to support decision-making and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Supporting business development activities, including identifying engagement scope, developing proposals, and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Establishing and cultivating professional relationships with client personnel, including senior leaders.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience, including mentoring team members, conducting performance feedback, and coordinating cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Capital Consulting, Change Management, or HR Transformation; management consulting experience is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience leading change programs for leading ERP platforms.
  • PROSCI certification (or equivalent change management certification) preferred.
  • Professional certifications, such as PMP, are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); familiarity with change management tools, LMS platforms, and AI productivity tools preferred.

Schedule

Protiviti practices a hybrid workplace model, combining in-person work (in local Protiviti offices or on client sites) with remote work. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and business factors. Local or out-of-state travel may be required based on project and client commitments.

Pay

Starting salary range: $163,000 – $278,000, based on experience, skills, and geographic work location. The annual bonus plan provides eligible employees with additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities, with a target bonus of 16%. Estimated total cash range: $189,080 – $322,480.
