About the role
The Infant-Toddler Teacher provides services to children 6wks-3yrs inside an infant/toddler classroom. An Early Head Start Infant-Toddler Teacher works alongside a co-teacher to create a safe learning environment daily from 7:30a-3:30p.
Requirements
- Minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) with Infant/Toddler focus or a higher degree in the area of Early Childhood Education or a related field of study
- At least 1 year of experience in an Early Childhood setting
- Self-directed and multitask oriented
- Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct projects
- Excellent leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Implement daily schedules including lesson plans and individual plans for infants and toddlers, follow routines, adhere to EHS Program policies and procedures, and provide quality care to children 6 wks–3 yrs old
- Maintain children's files and documentation with organization and confidentiality
- Build relationships with parents and create opportunities for parent involvement in their classroom and center
- Communicate with families regarding their child(ren) and the services being provided
- Work with co-teacher, center staff, program coordinators, and community partners to support the work of Early Head Start
